OF CLINTON COUNTY IOWA
First It is my will that all my just debts be paid.
Second Its my will that I be buried in a manner becoming my estate and that the expense thereof be as nearly two hundred dollars as may
be to pay all my funeral expenses.
Third I give and bequeath unto my niece Bridget Clark(e)? of Washington township in said Clinton County the sum of one hundred dollars and direct that she be paid said sum out of my estate by my Executor.
Fourth I give and bequeath unto my niece Maggie Mooney of said City of Clinton the sum of fifty dollars and direct that she be paid said sum out of my estate by my Executor.
Fifth I give and bequeath unto Rev. Father E. J. McLaughlin of said City the sum of one hundred dollars to be used by him in the work of charity and masses as in his judgment may be best and my Executor is directed to pay unto him said sum out of my estate.
Sixth All the rest and residue of my personal property I give and bequeath unto my said niece Bridget Clarke to her, her heirs and assigns forever.
Seventh I give and devise the premises on which I now live viz. Lot number forth eight {48} in Block number three {3} n the City of Clinton, Clinton County Iowa with all improvements thereon unto my brother William Mooney of the City of Sterling, Whiteside County in the State of Illinois and unto my nephew John E. Mooney the of the said City of Clinton, share and share alike unto each an undivided one half and unto them in said shares respectively and the heirs and assigns of each of them forever.
Eighth I hereby nominate and appoint John E. Mooney of Clinton, Clinton County Iowa the Executor of this my last will and testament and hereby exempt him from the necessity of giving any bond as such.

The foregoing instrument in writing was on this tenth (10th) day of May A. D. 1887 signed and sealed by Dennis Mooney the Testator therein named in our presence and in the presence of each of us and he at this same time declared the same to be his last will and testament and we now at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other sign our names thereto as attesting witnesses this May 10th 1887.

I William Kreim Clerk of the District Court in and for the said County do hereby certify that in this day at the Sept. Term A. D. 1887 of said Court the will and instrument in writing hereunto annexed and bearing date on the 10th day of May 1887 was duly proved before and allowed by said Court as and for the last will and testament of the real and personal Estate of Dennis Mooney late of said County deceased and was by said Court ordered to be recorded as such will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at my office in Clinton in said County this 28th day of Sept. A. D. 1887
