Last Will and Testament of Jonathan Weil

This was especially hard to read as the copy was not good.  Hopefully done without too many errors.

In the name of God Amen.
I
Jonathan Weil of the city of Keokuk, County of Lee and State of Iowa being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time made.
Paragraph 1st.
I direct that all my just debts including funeral expenses and the expenses of administration be paid by my Executors.
Paragraph 2nd.
I give and bequeath to my son
Mayer S. Weil the sum of Five Dollars.
Paragraph 3rd.
I give and bequeath to my sons
Moses K. Weil and Jonas B. Weil jointly one hundred shares of the Capital Stock of the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad Company a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of New York and shares being all of said shares owned by me and now in deposit with the Mercantile Safe Deposit Company in New York City in Box 3851 said shares being contained in certificate numbered 46812.
Paragraph 4th.
I give and bequeath unto my daughter
Fannie Kahn as her own separate property and to her own separate use the following bonds to wit.  Five Thousand Dollars in United States Government.  Four percent Ant.? Bonds due A. D. 1907 being one of such bonds for Five Thousand Dollars numbered 21,200.
Paragraph 5th.
I give and bequest unto my son
Jonas B. Weil the following bonds to wit:  Three Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars in United States Government Bonds due A.D. 1907 being as follows:  Three Bonds for One Thousand Dollars each numbered 90.623, 90.624, 90.625.  Four of such bonds for One Hundred Dollars each numbered 117.054, 117.055, 117,056, 117.57 and one of each bonds being for Fifty Dollars and numbered 21.282.  Interest for any grand daughter Flora Kahn her issue and others to be applied to the uses and purposes specified in paragraph 11 hereof where the said Flora Kahn will be styled beneficiary or ????que trust.
Paragraph 6th.
I give and bequeath unto my daughter
Sarah F. Deutsch as her own separate property and to her own separate use the following bonds to wit:  Five Thousand Dollars in Pennsylvania Railroad Bonds consolidated four of them being for one thousand dollars each and registered in my name and numbered respectively 1256. 12157, 12159, 10591 and one for One thousand dollars and co??? nit attached said bond being numbered 11218.
Paragraph 7th.
I give and bequeath unto my sister
Fannie Stern the sum of Fifty Dollars  if she is living at the time of my death.
Paragraph 8.
I order and decree that seventy five dollars be appropriated by the executors for a suitable tombstone over my dead body.
Paragraph 9.
I direct and it is my will in every case on here in the foregoing paragraphs hereof I have disposed of specific property that if in any case the same or any portion thereof does not belong to me at the time of my death then in every such case the same shall be replaced by a sum of money equal in value to the said specified property at the time of my death and that the said sum or sums of money shall be taken by the persons to whom I have given the said specific property in lieu thereof.
Paragraph 10.
I give devise and bequeath all the remainder and residue of my property both real and personal in whatever it may consist or wherever situated and of every kind and description to the following persons in the following proportions to wit:
One fifth thereof to
Jonas B. Weil, one fifth thereof to Moses K. Weil,  one thereof to my daughter Sarah F. Duetsch as her own separated property, to her own separate use; one fifth thereof  (to my) daughter Fannie Kahn as her own separate property and to her own separate use and one fifth there of to Jonas B. Weil in trust for my granddaughter Flora Kahn to be applied to the uses and purposes specified in paragraph 11 hereof.
Paragraph 11.
As to the property herein given to
Jonas B. Weil in trust for Flora Kahn, he is to have the power in his discretion to at any time sell the same and receive the proceeds and if it come to him in the form of money to invest the same and he shall apply the interest dividends and increase of the (??) so held in trust or so much thereof as he shall see fit to her maintenance and education until she becomes twenty years of age when the whole shall be paid to her.
Paragraph 12.
If either or any of the persons to wit:
Jonas B. Weil, Moses K. Weil, Sarah F. Duetch and Fannie Kahn or if the beneficiary Flora Kahn shall die without issue before my death then any portion of the property which under this will would have gone to such persons or person shall become part of the residue estate and be divided equally among the remaining shares.
Paragraph 13.
In case of death or refusal of
Jonas B. Weil to act as trustee any Probate Court or Court of  Equity may appoint a successor to carry out such trust.
Paragraph 14
I hereby appoint
John B. Weil, Moses Weil and Frank Hagerman as executors of this my last will and testament.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 26th day of January 1886.  Jonathan Weil.

I Jonathan Weil of the city of County of Lee and State of Iowa being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make and publish this as a codicil to the foregoing my last will and testament which was executed on January 26, 1886 and was signed in the presence of said witnesses by
Thomas Maloy, William F. Foote and John J (F?) Franck 
Paragraph 1st. of codicil. 
I hereby revoke Paragraph 4th of said original will which such paragraph gave and bequeathed to Fannie Kahn as her separate property and to her separate use the following bonds to wit:  Five Thousand Dollars in United States Government (??) bonds due A.D. 1908 being one of such bonds for five thousand dollars numbered 21.200.
Paragraph 2nd.
Instead of the gift and bequest mentioned in Paragraph 4 of the original will I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto my beloved daughter
Fannie Kahn the following property to wit: I give and bequeath to said Fannie Kahn three thousand four hundred and fifty dollars in United States Government for percent bonds due A. D. 1907 being numbered 90623, 90624, 90625? Four of such bonds for one hundred dollars each numbered 117034, 117035,117036, 117037 (might be 1175x- copy is bad) and one of such bonds being for fifty and numbered 21282 and I further give bequeath and devise unto said Fannie Kahn the following property to wit:  All my right ???? and interest in  and to the following described real estate in Clinton County Iowa to wit:  The east twenty feet of lot No. five (5) and the west 20 feet of lot No. four (4) in block No. (44) forty four in the south addition to the City of Clinton as the same as now platted and recorded in the office of the recorder for said County of Clinton, also all the right title and interest which I may have in and to a contract for the sale of said property between M. K. Weil and A. Kahn and notes executed pursuant to the same.
Paragraph 3 of Codicil.
I hereby revoke paragraph 5 of my said original will which said paragraph gave and bequeathed to Jonas B. Weil in trust for my granddaughter
Flora Kahn her issue and othrs to be applied to the uses and purposes specified in paragraph 11 of said original will the flowing bonds to wit:  Three thousand four hundred and fifty dollars in United States Government four percent bonds due A. D. 1907 being three bonds for one thousand dollars each numbered respectively 90023, 90024 90025; four bonds for one hundred dollars each numbered respectively 117054, 117055, 117056, 117057 and one bond for fifty dollars numbered 21282.

Paragraph 4 of Codicil
Instead of the give and bequest mentioned in paragraph five of said original will I do give and bequest unto my son
Jonas B. Weil the flowing bonds to wit:  Five thousand Dollars in United States Government four percent bonds due A. D. 1907 being one of such bonds for five thousand dollars numbered 91060 in trust for my granddaughter Flora Kahn and her issue to be applied to the uses and purposes specified in paragraph 11 of the said original will.

Paragraph 5 of the Codicil
All of the provisions of the original will shall apply this codicil the same as if rewritten herein with the exception only the provisions of paragraph 9 of the said original will shall not apply to that portion of paragraph 2 of this codicil which gives devises and bequeaths unto
Fannie Kahn the following property to wit:  All my right title and interest unto the following described real estate in Clinton county Iowa to wit:  The east twenty feet of lot No. five (5) and the west twenty feet of No. four (4) in block No. forty four (44) in the south addition to the city of Clinton as the same is now platted and recorded in the office of the recorder for said county.  Also all my right title and interest which I may have in and to a contract for the sale of said property between M. K. Weil and A. Kahn and notes executed pursuant to same.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 30th day of March 1887.

J. B. McNamara, clerk of the District Court of the State of Iowa in and for the county do hereby certify the above and foregoing is a true and perfect transcript of a paper purporting the last will of Jonathan Weil as fully as the same revision on file in my office. 
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court at my office in the City of Keokuk in said county this 5th day of November A. D. 1887.
