In the name of God Amen;
I
Josephine F. Twogood of the Township of Orange in the County of Clinton, State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament.
I leave and bequeath unto my husband
Perry Twogood the full and free use and occupation during his natural life of the following described real estate situated in the County of Clinton and State of Iowa to wit:  That part of the North West quarter{1/4} of Section Eighteen {18} in Township Eighty-one {81} North of Range three {3} East of the 5th M. M. which lies North of the track of the Chicago Iowa and Nebraska Railroad as now located through said section said Railroad being now operated by the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Company and said land being the same land conveyed to use by my husband Perry Twogood by deed executed on this the 12 day of February 1876 said Perry Twogood to have and hold said real estate during his natural life, said Perry Twogood to pay all taxes and assessments on said premises. 
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 12 day of February 1876.

The above instrument consisting of two pages was on this the 12 day of February 1876 by said
Josephine F. Twogood signed as and for her last will & testament in the presence of us the undersigned who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other hereto affix our names as attesting witnesses.  The last line of the first page and the three first lines of the second page being cancelled at the time of the signing of said will by said Josephine F. Twogood.

William Kreim clerk of the District Court in and for said County do hereby certify that on this day at the September Term A. D. 1887 of said Court the will and instrument in writing hereunto annexed and bearing date in the 12th day of February 1876 was duly proved before and allowed by said court as and for the last will and testament of the real and personal estate of Josephine F. Twogood late of said County deceased and was by said Court ordered to be recorded as such will and testament.  In witness whereof I have hereunto at my hand and affixed the seal of the court at my office in Clinton in said County this 19th day of Sept. A. D. 1887.
