Michael Daly of Lyons Iowa being of sound mind and disposing memory do hereby make this my last Will and Testament.
1st. I give devise and bequeath to my wife
Celia Daly and to her heirs and assigns forever my homestead in Lyons Iowa described as follow to wit:  The north forty {40} part of the lot three {3} and the South ten {10} feet of Lot four {4} all in Block Seven {7} of Range four {4} in Buells Addition to the old town {Now City} of Lyons in Clinton County Iowa.  And I further give her the rent of the house on the Lot two {2} in the before mentioned Block and Range in said Buells Addition for the period of one year from the time of my death.  The before mentioned devise to my said wife being in lieu of her dower right of widow’s share.
2nd. All the rest and residue of my property of which I may die possessed and to which I may have any claims and of whatsoever kind and wheresoever situated I give devise and bequeath to my children
Catherine Daly, Joseph Daly and Martin E. Daly and to their Heirs and assigns forever.  I hereby appoint Thomas Rowen Executor of this my last will and testament.  In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed by name and affixed my seal at Lyons on this 22nd day of Jun A. D. 1887.

Signed, sealed published and declared by the said Michael Daly as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses at Lyons on the 22nd day of June A. D. 1886

William Kreim clerk of the District Court in and for said county do hereby certify that on this day at the January term A. D. 1887 of said court the will and instrument in writing hereunto annexed and bearing date on the 2nd day of June1886 was duly proved before and allowed by said court as and for the lat Will and Testament of the real and personal estate of  Michael Daly late of said county deceased, and was by said court ordered to be recorded as such will and testament.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said court at my office in Clinton, in said county this 7th day of February A. D. 1887
