Arrived in the US in 1852 and lived in Clinton Iowa for a short time where he met and married Eliza Roberts.  They moved to Pleasant Grove, MN living next door to his brother James and then moved to Winona where they lived for years, later moving to Rochester where they died.  William and his son Franklin had a store in Winona, Minnesota.
