In the middle of December, my granddaughter and I headed off to Balboa Park to visit one of the art museums there.  She was working on a school project. We didn't have much time today, but I snapped a few pictures.

Balboa Park is a very large park, not to far from downtown San Diego.  The park encompasses the world famous San Diego Zoo, The Rueben H. Fleet Science Center, The Museum of Man, Museum of Natural History, several art Museums, an Automotive Museum, Aerospace Museum.  There is also the Starlight Opera and the Old Globe Theatre to mention just a few of the many things to see.

First we head over to Olive Garden (not at the park)  to have some lunch.
Here is the San Diego Museum of Art.

A view down the walkway towards the Museum of Man and the Rueben Science Center.
The Alcazar Garden in December
I don't know what kind of plant this is, but it was so colorful and really spruced up a winter garden.
