Pier 39 - The Best Picture of the Trip

On the way home we spent the night in Pismo Beach just south of San Luis Obispo.  Here are views of the beach and pier from our hotel grounds.

Right- The hotel sits right on the cliffs above the ocean.  The smell, sites and sounds are all you could wish for.

We stopped at the pier for a walk around and a close up view.

The seagull above just wanted to pose for this picture.  As I walked towards him, he walked towards me.  He turned to his right side and then his left, sort of asking me which was his better side.

Yes, kids, there is really a Santa Claus and he has one of his toy factories right here off  the freeway.
